Because wood is food for many insects, applying this colorless and odorless product will kill wood-boring bugs and help prevent decay if the wood gets wet. It has no odor.

Not that I know of but it does a really good job of getting rid of termites and they don't come back ever after you have used it. It also repels other wood burrowing pests.

Bora Care is applied only to the termites' food source and wood. This ensures that, very limited amount is used to eliminate the termites. Exceptionally, it has no odor and has no adverse effects on the wood on which it is used. Usage of Bora Care on wood years ago ensures, there is no penetration of the termites in wood.

Bora Care is a fungacide, insecticide, and termiticide. It helps repel wood decay(dry rot, white rot, brown rot) and fungus, eliminating it when applied. When Mold Care is combined with it, it absorbs into the wood and helps protect it inside out. It also helps delay major flood damage effects.

Bora care deposits quantities of mineral salt into the wood, these salts are what causes termites to die. These salts will not cause negative effects to wood, thus Bora Care has no additional effect on wood.
