Yes, beer that is refrigerated, then allowed to return to room temperature becomes "skunked" and the flavor is negatively affected.

Beer can go bad once opened if it gets too warm. If it is unopened, it can only go bad via light damage or being in a very hot environment.

Yes, unfortunately beer will go bad if you let the temperature fluctuate to extremes. If you purcahse cold beer from the cooler at a supermarket and leave it in the trunk of your car all weekend, you can go ahead and throw it out. This is what people refer to as "skunk" beer.

Asked a liquor store owner the same question. He said no, think about the life cycle of the shipping and handling. Just don't let it go to the extreme.

If beer is cold then allowed to get warm, it's flavor will change. This is called "skunking," and the resulting flavor is bad, although not actually harmful.

As long as the beer stay decently cool you should be alright. However it it gets warm then the quality of the beer can degrade. It can create a funky skunk flavor in certain beers. That is why you should store you beer in a cool, dark place especially if it is bottles. It should be cool but not freezing.

Temperature fluctuations can affect the taste of the beer, and if it is an extreme temperature it certainly can make it unpalatable. In this sense the answer is yes.
