Does a shoe stretcher really work?

How much will it stretch your shoe?

How much the shoe will stretch depends on the quality of the material (and whether it is canvas, leather, fake leather, etc.). A cheaply made shoe of synthetic leather will stretch much more than a shoe made of real leather. It is also a bit harder to control the shape of it as it stretches out.

It depends on what the material of the shoe is. Leather is a natural material and has some give to it, but don't expect to stretch a size 6 to an 8. Woven material won't stretch as easily as leather.

Yes, shoe stretchers really work, but they generally can only lengthen the shoe by about one size. People often use them to increase the width by one letter.

Shoe stretchers do work for some shoes. The effectiveness of a shoe stretcher can depend greatly on the quality of the leather of the particular shoe. Shoe stretchers effectively enlarge the size of the shoe withought overstretching them.
