Do you trust free email accounts online?

I am scared they are not private.

Although I have several "free" email service accounts, I can't say that I trust them totally. The fact that Google knows the content in my email and they advertise about the content in my email concerns me somewhat. I don't know if I'm just getting used to the idea or what, but I do use them anyway.

I trust most reputable free email account providers. ALways read the privacy policy associated with your account, however there are several providers that do not share your information, and provide enterprise level security for your email. Windows Live Hotmail, Google's Gmail, and Yahoo Mail all provide secure email accounts with user friendly privacy policies.

I think that most people nowadays are using free email accounts, website like Hotmail and Gmail. They are very trustworthy and I would definitely suggest using one. There is not point to paying for America Online because these other websites allow you to get the same perks, and AIM is a free way to chat.

I trust the bigger free email accounts, such as Hotmail or Yahoo. I think if they weren't private, they wouldn't have been around for so long.

I have a free email account that i set up through aol. So far i have not had any problems with it. I do get junk or spam mail but it gets sent to my spam folder. It really hasn't been much of a problem.
