Do you need to put sugar in smoothies for kids to like them?

Smoothies do not need sugar. To naturally sweeten them for kids use apple or white grape juices, as a base. Add in fresh or frozen fruit. Blend smooth and enjoy!

No sugar is not needed, use sweet fruits instead. Try mixing in pieces of bananas, strawberries or apples which is much more healthier than sugar.

With well chosen ingredients you will not need to add extra sugar for kids to enjoy smoothies. A very easy kid friendly smoothie is to use a package of frozen berries (unsweetened), add about a cup of yogurt (vanilla or other fruit flavor), and a ripe banana (adds sweetness). Blend well in the blender.
