You will now need a passport to travel to any destination outside of the United States. This was phased in over a number of years.

Because Jamaica is outside of the United States, yes you would need a passport in order to be able to travel there.

Yes, US citizens need a passport to travel to any foreign country. Jamaica is not part of the United States, and even though many tourists visit annually, a formal American passport is required. This is the case even if you are on a cruise that is going to stop on the island.

Yes you do. Now a days you need a passport to get into any and all foreign countries, including Canada. You are still able to get into any territory of the United States without one, but it's always nice to have a Passport anyway.

US citizens do need a passport to travel to Jamaica for tourism reasons. You can stay for up to six months with just your passport. Check out the US State Department's website for any current travel warnings to Jamaica.
