Yes you need to have a paid account in order to play EverQuest. As a paid member, you get full access to as much game play as you want.

Yes you do since it's a MMO style game. You can't play in single at this game. You'll have to be connected on the net.

Yes you do. The game is a massively multiplayer online game, and, as such, it requires you to have an account to pay the monthly fee so that you may play.

You most certainly do. All MMO's require an account to play their respective games, although some internet cafes do offer MMO services where you rent an account.
