Most people do not give godparents gifts for baptism. I you would like to give a gift a framed picture of the godparents with the child would be appropriate.
it all depends on how close to the god parents you are. if you are very close with them then yes it is appropriate for a small gift. however if you are not too close then no it is not secessary, but may still be a nice gesture. nothing too big or exquisite though.
I would give a personal gift to the godparents. I would suggest either a picture of the child in a frame, or even better I would give the gift after the baptism and give them a framed picture of the ceremony with the child and the godparents. It's about the sentiment, not the money.
No. The true event is to celebrate a child's baptism, much like celebrating a child's birthday. You simply do not give parents presents at a child's birthday party, so you would not normally do so with godparents at a baptism.
See gift dosent need any occasion or a relation to be given for. It can be given to any body you like and at any time. A good gift can join the two parties together.
