It is wise to allow Windows to automatically install updates, as this is the number one way to prevent against system vulnerabilities which could be exploited either by DOS or DDOS attacks. Hackers often target machines running older versions of Windows, because they are generally more prone to weaknesses.

For most people it mkes sense to allow Windows to automatically install updates. This will allow your computer to have the latest security fixes and code fixes for your computer. Since Windows does so much in running your computer and is so complex, it is important to allow the security updates to be loaded on your computer.

Yes, always do so. Updates are a free service for legitimate software and will constantly keep you safe from hacks and other exploits that may potentially be harmful. If is a good idea to enable updates for all Microsoft products (including office and windows defender etc)
