Witches have no specific set of tenants or beliefs. Most people will answer your question as though you asked "Do wiccans beleive in God". That's not what you asked, and not what you need to know. The answer is "Some do, some don't". Those who wish to practice magic vary.

Yes, witches believe in one omnipotent divine power. This may be symbolized the goddess, or the god. They both mean the creator of all things.

:) Tee hee, instead of asking around, go research it! I'm a beginner wiccan witch myself, and I've done most my research myself. Also, hook up with some local witches. I have a good friend who is wiccan herself.

Those are Wiccans, not Witches. S/He asked about Witches. I am aware that right now you're hooked on Wicca but please do not presume yours is the only path - there are many others who are frequently insulted be the exuberance and self-importance of Wiccans.  add a comment
