Do I really need to study for the road rules test?

I have a license from another state.

I would definitely. One state's rules may not be the same as the state you're in now. If nothing else, just skim over the rules for both states.

In my estimation, you had better study for the road rules test. I don't know what state you are in, but my husband didn't pass his test and he was so sure he would. The questions are always worded so they seem to be trying to trick you.

Studying for any driving road rules test is very important. Rules vary from state to state. The test will ask questions that wouldn't be fresh in your mind, including bicycle and pedestrian rules. Plus, you can only miss a few answers or you will have to take the test again.

You will probably be okay if you just use common sense on the test. The regulations for driving are pretty much standardized throughout the country. If you passed the road rule test in one state, the same conditions apply in another. But be careful about applying the law instead of common practice ( full stop at stop signs )
