Since only the goalkeeper is allowed to touch the ball with his hands, traditional wisdom says that soccer players do not need good hand reflexes. However, all the other players need to be able to resist the urge to grab the ball. Hand reflexes aren't needed in the same way as in basketball, but hand control is still an issue.

Depends on what position would you play. A goalkeeper must have good hand reflexes to be successful. Since the rest of the players are forbidden to use their hands during play I would say hand reflexes don't play a crucial part on the field.

The only reason good hand reflexes would be needed in soccer is if you are the goal keeper. Every other player on the field is not allowed to use their hands, thereforre hand reflexes would be useless. The goalkeeper use their hands to stop shots hit from the other players on the field.

Unless you plan on being a goalie, your hand reflexes do not mean anything. In soccer it is a penalty if you touch the ball with your hands, so hopefully having poor reflexes would deter you from using your hands anyway.
