Yes, a visa is required to visit Kenya; and it's recommended that you get it in advance, from the Kenyan Embassy. However, you can also obtain a visa at the border or airport, just before entering the country. You'll probably need a one-time visa, but there are also visas for multiple entries available.

Citizens of most countries, including the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, are required to have visas to travel in Kenya. Apply for the visa well in advance of your trip in case there are any questions or processing delays.

Yes you do. You can either do this in advance of your trip or obtain an airport visa, but expect delays if you go this route. Go to the government's travel info web site to obtain specific info.

A visa as in credit card, probably not, but a visa passport, most likely. Unless you already live in Kenya. Traveling to or from Kenya will require a passport.
