Yes,the primer sealer is the most important part of the painting process,it is what holds the paint on to the car, choosing the primer sealer depends on what finish paint you will use,Examples, enamel, acrylic, lacquer paints. There are sandable primers that get wet sanded and non sandable primers.

The answer to your question is yes. You must use a primer to layer the metal and make the color coats bond better. Otherwise you will end up with a peeling or bubbling effect on your vehicle. Always use 2 coats of primer. 2 to 4 light coats of pigment and 2 coats of sealer

Yes,Primer and Sealer needed to paint the car. You are painting a car just because there are are some chips of paints that are gone. A better idea might be to just touch up those areas. Primer is porus and thin and will absorb moisture as well as be absorbed by many fillers. Sealer is thicker nonporus.

it is a good idea to prime the metal before you paint it. once you paint the car, the sealer helps protect the paint.

Yes. If you do not sand, Primer, sand, primer THEN paint you can the aint will flake, peel, fade and do all sorts of ugly things. If your planning on making this car look good and doing it yourself you MUST primer the car and seal it afterwards. Without sealer all your hard work will fade over time.
