Yes you do. As of the most recent immigration updates for traveling into Canada from the states, a current passport is required. It's time to apply for one now.

People who are residential of any country other than the United States always need a valid passport to enter Canada whereas for United States residents there is nothing as such, because of a friendly border crossing treaty between United States & Canada,Canada Border Services do not ask United States citizens to present a passport to enter Canada.
