Do ear candles work?

The ear candles referred to are known as Hopi Candles and can be purchased from Health Shops. The candle is gentlly inserted into the ear, the end not in the ear is lit and the candle burns down releasing heat. Success rate is variable, with some they work, others not.

Ear candles may feel like they're working, but they can actually push wax farther into the ear canal where it can cause a blockage. They also have the potential to burn your ears.

I get my ears candled twice a year, don't overdue it. It is a natural way of getting the wax build up out. It is very relaxing to have done and the wax you get out is crazy. It creates a suction from the candle burning. I also can hear better when I have it done.
