Donkeys and horses can be mated together. When they do a mule is produced. Unfortunately, the mule is unable to reproduce. They are, however, very good work horses. For instance, they are used at the Grand Canyon, because they are so surefooted which they get from their donkey's smart genes.

Donkeys and horses have been known to mate together, but not always with success in having offspring. If offspring do occur they are naturally sterile and cannot reproduce themselves, interesting.
