Dogs can get an infection of the feet caused by malassezia, which is not much different than the fungus that causes athletes foot. The treatment is anti-fungal washes or anti-fungal tablets, in severe cases. I'd recommend having you vet check him out just in case, especially if your dog starts biting at his feet.

It is possible. Athletes foot is a form of ringworm and ringworm is highly contagious in animals and people. During the summer is a good time they can get it. You just have to watch how badly they naw at their feet.

I've never heard of it. But, it is possible for dogs to get fungal infections on their paws. Please take your dog to the vet for a formal diagnosis.
