Yes, computers do emit electromagnetic radiation. How much depends a lot on the design. Typically the radiation is low enough for a safe usage. Never heard of higher cancer risk.

Long discussed topic among computer technicians. There has been no direct evidence of any fatalities caused by the low amount of radiation computers emit. There has been a few side effects, like eye sore and the sort but radiation is not directly responsible for it. However, certain computer accessories (CRT monitors, Batteries) could emit large amounts of radiation if opened.

Computers give out visible light radiations which helps in vision. They also emit ionizing radiations which is safe upto a certain level. But regular and long hours of computer usage can be the cause of cancer in the long run.
