Technically it is the same thing. It is commonly called fur for animals. All mammals have fur. The general usage is humans have hair, and animals have fur. This would be the same for all breeds of dog.

The technical term for the "hair" that grows all over your dog is called Fur. Cocker Spaniels tend to have curly fur unlike the majority of dogs that have straight short fur or straight long fur. Since your Cocker Spaniel has long curly fur you should comb it to avoid tangles.

They have fur. It comes in all different colors and styles. Some have wavy and straight fur while others are black or white. Often time the straightness or curliness will change after being fixed.
