Henry Ford definitely did not invent the car, he invented the assmembly line which made cars accessible to the general public. It is hard for historians to settle on who invented the car because but most credit German Karl Benz (including the Library of Congress).

Henry Ford did indeed invent a car. The Model-T is an example and there were none of his kind during the time that he existed. Others built over Henry Ford's model.
