Yeah probably the pain may be due to gas. Also keep in mind that pain caused due to gas will not be in a same place. It will change its location and spreads at some times. Also don't apply any pain relief creams or gel which may increase its intensity.

This type of pain is mostly related with liver. Most commonly there can be a liver abscess, tuberculous pluirasy or carcinoma due to fluid collection in costophrenic angles, cirrhosis of liver due to excessive alcohol ingestion, cholecystitis, hydatid cyst, carcinoma of liver tumor, gastritis, peptic ulcer.

It could be from gas; however, it could also be something more serious. It depends on if your pain is only there, or if it spreads to other areas. Possible other things that this could be are Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or gallstones. If it persists, see a doctor.

Yes, it is possibly just gas. The best way to test that theory is to get up and walk around--the movement should loosen it up and make it "go". If it doesn't, it could be something else, such as a pulled muscle or heartburn or more serious things that require a doctor's attention.
