Could an incorrect condenser connection cause a freon leak?

Yes. And a faulty connection could be dangerous or lethal with liquid refrigerant (low-side) at sub-zero temperatures and high pressure while gas refrigerant (high-side) is at super-heated temperatures and very high pressures. All A/C systems have a high and low side. Certified Technicians have the proper equipment for this repair.

Well yes, any type of loose or incorrect connection could cause a leak in the system. The pressure inside the system could generate a leak.

It can cause your freon to leak and can also make you air conditioning not work at all. You could fix it and recharge the air with the freon kit you can buy at Auto Zone or your preferred auto parts store.

Yes. If the condensor isn't corrected properly it will leak because it won't seal. it is more common for a bad seal or rust spot.

Absolutely, if the proper connection is not made you run the risk of a leak due to not sealing properly.

When any type of connection in the air conditioning system is not solid it can create a slow leak. They sell kits with uv dye to locate any leaks.
