Can you use fake plants for green anoles?

Since anoles are strictly carnivorous lizards it is possible. However keep in mind that the food you feed them, especially crickets, might eat some of the fake plant before the lizard eats them. Some fake plants are made of things that can make a lizard sick and they can get sick from eating a bug who has eaten fake plants.

Anoles do not require live plants. Fake plants are just fine for cage decorations. The more important considerations are having the right heat and humidity for your particular species.
