they are also known as a puma or cougar. they're carnivores, eating large and small mammals. panthers are native to asia, america, and africa. common litter sizes for females are one to four. the average adult weight between 100 and 250 pounds and will reach 7 to 8 feet tall.

There are two kinds of panthers currently in the wild in the United States. The common western mountain lion, or puma, and the rare and endangered Florida panther.

Well, for one thing the black panther is actually more than one species. In Central America they are black jaguars, and in Asia and africa they are black leopards. There are black panther in North America, but no one yet knows if they are cougars or jaguars.
