You can't legally tow a 4x4 Jeep because it would have to be in neutral and someone in it to drive it. Use a flatbed to transport.

Well put it in the neutral gear and get someone to drive it and push it onto a flat bed surface.

The jeep will need to be in neutral, it doesn't matter if it's automatic or standard. If you have a tow hitch you can hook onto the tow vehicle it will be a lot easier, most states don't allow you to tow with a rope or chain.

Hitch your jeep to another vehicle, put it in neutral, make sure it is secure, have someone drive the jeep, and go.

It involves hooking up the 4x4 Jeep to the towing equipment on the back of the towing vehicle. Make sure the car is in neutral before you pull off. With 4x4 vehicles, you probably need to disconnect the drive shaft under the car before towing that vehicle or it could damage the transmission.
