Supply a variety of different kinds of perches. The perches should be at different heights and be made of differnt materials. Give fresh water and food at all times. Provide a variety of toys for the birds entertainment.

Once you purchase a cage with the appropriate wire gauge for Quaker parrots, clean it thoroughly with a mild dish soap and plenty of warm water.

Place 3 different perches. The largest should go horizontally across the middle. Any rope perch goes in an upper back corner. The third should be just inside of the door.

The minimum size for a cage should be 18 by 18 by 24. You will need a secure cage along with toys, a bath, a sleeping box and perches.
