installed the heads using cometic head gaskets (no gaskasinch used on them). Service manual says torque value between 65 and 75 ft/lbs and a minimum compression reading 90 psi with a 10% difference. took a compression test. Got 30 psi front, 60 psi rear. Took apart and retorqued the heads to 60 ft/lbs. Got 80 psi front, 90 psi rear.

Open the shovelhead screws, you will find the gasket once you totally removed the screws, remove the existing gasket, stretch the new gasket with your hands, replace the new gasket at the same position and apply some grease if needed to the screws and then fit them back to the original position.

First, unscrew the shovelhead screws and remove the old gasket. Stretch the new gasket with your hands and put it where the old gasket was. Lastly, replace the screws.
