Put quarter round on miter saw or miter box with flat sides down and away. Cut at 45 degree angle so that it is longer at top of molding.

Using a compound miter saw, set your degrees for the miter cut. This would be 45 degrees for each. Measure the angle of your corner first to make sure it is 90 degrees. Then adjust the total degrees for the cut.

Measure the lenght of molding you will need and mark it on the molding. Set the miter at a 45 degree angle. Squeeze button and lower saw in one motion.
