You can cut wood pieces to the size and shape that you want to make the cage any desired size. When you nail them together nail in chicken wire. You should have a square/rectangle with chicken wire on all sides. Then place this in a small box that is not tall.

They aren't very hard to make. Guinea Pigs don't really try to escape, so making a box with walls about 6" high should be sufficient. A great material is corrugated plastic, which you can purchase a large sheet from your local sign shop.

Not at all. They are also cheaper and better for the pigs. Buy a couple boxes of those storage shoes that snap together and a 15-20 dollar sheet of coroplast (corrugated plastic) from an art supply or home supply store. Look up "C&C cages" online for more info and sizing instructions.

You can buy a big clear plastic container and use it as their cage. Since the container is clear you can see the guinea pig and enjoy their company. The container is plastic so its easy to clean and tall enough for the guinea pig not to try and jump out.

Guinea pigs cages are easy to make. You will want to use wood, however, as they eat cardboard. Make sure there is a good bedding for their comfort.
