Wrap vines and big twigs together. Dig a hole in the ground, line with pine boughs, and place the stick & vine roof over hole. Top with more pine boughs.

Survival shelters can be constructed using the materials that are available at hand while minimizing resources exerted. For example if you are in a redwood forest then your shelter will likely be a redwood bark teepee. In contrast if you are in an alpine forest in deep snow conditions, a snow cave with fir boughs is adequate.

Well sure what you need to do is get plywood or iron and make a construction facility out of that. Make sure there's ample space for breathing holes.

the most important part of any such structure would be the stocking of provisions. Do a careful analysis of what situation you are planning this structure for, or what multiple situations. Water is the primary need that is difficult to store in the quantities needed. The structure itself, depending on its disaster scenario, most likely should be underground.
