Work your way up the ladder son. That’s the best advice I can give you! Hospital administrators are doctors who have worked their way up the ladder.

To become a hospital administrator you would have to have a degree. At least a BA but even better would be an MA in Healthcare. You would have to start by taking a job on the lower rungs and working your way up by being extra competent.

A suggested path of study is health administration. While in school, one may participate in an internship at a local hospital, shadowing an individual in his or her preferred path.

A master's degree in health services administration is usually a prerequisite to becoming a hospital administrator. Having a degree in business or public administration and health care experience also helps.
