When pregnant all foods you eat must be watched but especially any foods with mold. The reason being that some molds, like those in soft cheeses, contain a bacteria called Listeria which causes blood poisening in the fetus or even a miscarriage. To be safe I would not eat it.

The possiblity of finding mold on corn is extremely low so that would make the possibility of ingesting it extremely rare. There are no defects related to this mold ingestion.

Research has indeed linked a toxin in corn, most prevalent in corn mold, to birth defects. In one case, it was linked to spinal and brain defects.
