Can you take Coricidin if you have high blood pressure?

My mom is hypertensive and has to be careful about cold medications.

Yes. Coricidin is the only type of cold medications that you can take if you have high blood pressure. It contains no decongestant.

Many OTC medications do not mix well with health conditions such as glaucoma, high blood pressure and thyroid problems to name a few. Your mother's best bet would be to call and ask her doctor. Everyone is different and some medicines to treat conditions may even be canceled out by OTC meds.

No she can't, but she can ask for CoricidinHBP (for high blood pressure) by the same drug manufacturer. She can ask the pharmacist about the different OTC options she has.

Coricidin does not have a decongestant in it which is the main thing in cold medications that cause high blood pressure to become worse. It should be ok for her.
