Can you repair a car sun roof?

This question is kind of hard to answer when you do not know what exactly the problem with the sun roof is. But, I do feel safe in saying that whatever the issue it is can more than likely be repaired.

Depends on what kind of repair you need. I think your best option is to take it into a body shop because otherwise home repairs might leak.

That all depends on the car the roof and what really needs to be repaired. if the motors shot then that needs to be replaced if it smashed replace it . If the sunroof is off track there are ways to fix that problem but more info is need to know what your problem really is .

Well if the parts are available to purchase then you should be able to replace any part of a damaged sunroof. Since you didn't state how it needed repaired I can't instruct you on how to go about it. There are tons or repair reference material online though.

It depends on what is damaged, how bad it is damaged, and what kind of car it is. There should be companies that produce seal or repair kit for the sunroof if that is what you need. However the sunroof itself will probably only be found in a salvage yard.

Yes you can. You should start first by putting some lubricant on the tracks of the sunroof. Usually you just need to replace the sunroof button or switch.

Personally? Yes I can. However, for others it depepnds on the damage and if the parts are still available for the unit itself. If factory roof then look at local junk yards to start. Local dealers may be the place for parts. Aftermarket roofs may require you to research and contact the manufacturer for the correct part needed.

In most circumstances a car sun roof by 1 of 3 components. The motor, switches, or the gaskets can be repaired. Sometimes it's as simple as a fuse.
