I actually read "The Complete Idiots Guide to Stepparenting." It was very helpful for me. I was in a 4 year relationship with a man with 2 daughters from previous. It also gives some great tips for helping the biological parent adjust as well. I know your pain!

Yes. "From Fear to Love" by Bryan Post is a book aimed at helping adoptive parents but many of the concepts fit step parenting as well.

The complete Idiot's Guide to Stepparenting was a great book for my husband. My kids were 4 and 6 when we met and it really helped a lot.

Whenever a child's parent remarries the child often becomes confused and will show signs of anger and frustration. Deal with this is something you're not going to find out from a book. You just have to be patient and always love and support them even if they hate you.
