You should not paint tile. It will eventually just chip off and look horrible. Your best option is to buy new tile or put laminate tile over the existing ones.

No you cannot paint tile simply because the paint does not stick to the tile!! Tile wont hold the paint in!

It is possible to paint over tiles. Wall tiles as well as floor tiles. For floor tiles, use special 'concrete paint'. For wall tiles there's a range of special paints available through most home decor stores and paint stores. There is a lot for sale on line as well. Be sure to remove grease thoroughly before you start painting.
