They are most likely all owned by the company - not independently owned and operated. You can check their website to see if opening your own franchise is an option. It is unlikely, though, because all of their stores operate on basically the same plan. The best way to find out is to check the website.

Bed Bath and Beyond is a public owned chain store and does not offer any up stores as a franchise.
