Yes, it is okay to use these two medications together. You should be aware that a moderate drug interaction can occur because both of these medications will depress your central nervous system. If you have an interaction, it will most likely cause reduced alertness, asthenia, or sleepiness. Patients should be monitored while taking this combination.

Even though Benadryl is an over the counter treatment, medications for same ailment should never be mixed. If you are currently take Zyrtec as prescribed without proper results, consult your physcian for alternate treatment methods. The only exception would be if a serious allergy erupts (such as food/bee sting, etc. ) where Benadryl acts quickly until you seek medical attention.

Since they are both antihistamines, don't take them simultaneously. Benadryl provides short-term relief while Zyrtec provides longer term relief. For this reason it is probably best to take Zyrtec in the mornings and Benadryl at night, but not both at the same time of day.

No, you shouldn't be mixing these two unless advised by a physician. They are both antihistamines but behave differently and address your condition in different ways. If one doesn't work, ask your doctor for a different med or one rather than the other. Mixing medications without knowing their chemistry can be very dangerous and have very adverse affects.

Yes, you can mix Zyrtec with Benadryl. Some doctors recommend supplementing Zyrtec with Benadryl such as in cases where allergy shots cause an adverse reaction.

yes, you can. You should take the low dosage and not increase it. it should be used intermittently and not for a long period of time. Watch that it might make you drowsy.

Yes, you can and it won't kill you, but it is best to consult a doctor to know the best doses and at what times to take them.

Allergies are so bad right now Zyrtec by itself isn't cutting it. Added a half dose of Benadryl and it eliminated the coughing and stuffy nose.
