Can you have an allergy to shampoo?

I think I am allergic to my shampoo but it might be something else.

Yes, you can have an allergy to shampoo. The shampoo you are using could contain a product that you are allergic to. I would look at the key ingredients in your shampoo you are using and try out another brand that has some different ingredients in it to see if you are having an allergy to it.

Many different ingredients in soaps,detergent or shampoos can certainly trigger allergies in people. If you have recently changed your shampoo and develop a reaction, you can assume that it is the shampoo.

It's possible to be allergic to almost anything, and personal care products are not an unusual cause of reactions. You might be allergic to dyes or perfumes, which are common in soaps, shampoos, laundry detergents, and cosmetics. You should be able to find a hypoallergenic or organic brand of shampoo which may work better for you.
