First you have to have a short memory. You cant save every goal so you cant let it get to you. You just have to forget about it and move on. Be very confident otherwise you'll get scored on. Dont be scared to get hit by the ball. Dont be scared to leave the crease.

Being a lacrosse goalie is hard, so here are a few pointers 1. A goalie should ALWAYS step to the ball 2. Learn the angles and cut them down 3. Communication is a must 4. Hands should be away from your body 5. Stick should be 100% vertical, tilted to your handed side.

First off, the ability to stop the ball! Another VERY important skill a lacrosse goalie needs to have is the ability to pass the ball, as they are the ones who generally start the breaks.

Practice having fellow lacrosse players shoot at you while defending the net. Work on your scooping skills, and defense tactics.

Great communication with your defense men is always key. Although, I always played attack, some of the best goalies I played against wore just a helmet and chest pad.

The best advice is being able to anticipate the plan and having excellent agility. The game is very quick so when you anticipate the shot and have ability to react quickly you will be much better off. Work on your foot speed to get from side to side of the net.
