Can you give a dog Ascriptin?

Yes - Ascriptin is aspirin buffered with Maalox, so it's easy on a dog's stomach. Buffered aspirin is the best thing to use (though not the enteric-coated type; many dogs won't digest it fully). Always give it with food. Do not give aspirin to puppies, and be careful of the amount. No more than 5-10mg per pound should be used.

Yes. I have an old black Lab and a beagle mix with surgically repaired knees, and both are on an aspirin regimen. My vet specifically recommended Ascriptin as a good brand.
