Laxatives can be effective in relieving constipation in cats. There are many options from which to choose. There may be a natural remedy that can be used. Since diet could be the cause of constipation, a change of diet and/or more exercise may be an easy solution. Check with your veterinarian before making a decision.

Never, ever give human medication to any animal, most especially a dog or cat. If you feel your cat has bowel issues, take it to the veterinarian. There is an enormous difference in treating a cat than treating a human being and should not be undertaken by anyone but a veterinarian.

Please do not give your cat laxatives. You will not like the resulting mess that happens.Give your cat wet canned food for a few days.

No, because of the size of the cat, and the fact that it is a cat, you should not give them medication intended for humans. Give cat medications only.
