Check for a "transfer clause" that excuses the balances of the lease and the required notice to vacate. Otherwise, appeal to your employer to buy you out of it.

Not unless you specifically wrote into your lease that you could give notice upon transfer. Most leases are written to ensure that you fulfill the full term and do not give any special accommodation for changes that may occur in your life. Your best bet is to help the landlord get the property re-rented.

You are still liable for deposits, rent for the current month, and possibly lease termination fees. Whether because you move for a job or loss of a job, you are still legally responsible for any costs and terms of the lease that you signed. You can ask for fees to be waived, but that is not a guarantee.

Most landlords understand that being transferred due to job changes are events that are out of your control and allow you to break your lease with no legal reprocussions. I would suggest speaking to the landlord and working out the details in writing.
