Can you get athlete's foot on your hands?

It sure looks like athlete's foot on my hands.

Yes. Athlete's foot is merely the name if the condition. Although it is a parasitic fungus mostly occurring between the toes, it is highly contagious and can spread to other areas like the hands.

the problem is simply an infection that gets into the skin. It is only called athlete's foot because it is found most often in that area. But if one has very sweaty hands and a lot of excessive warmth and their not cleaned often, I suppose one could develop in the places between the fingers.

No that is why is called athletes foot but it is imposible since it s fungus that only develops to that region of the body so you may not get athletes foot in your hands
