Can you get any precious metals from computers?

There's bound to be something valuable in them.

Absolutely; silicon in processing chips (CPUs, GPUs, and so forth) and copper in heatsinks come to mind. Extracting these metals is not feasible for the average consumer, though.

There are a few metals in computer's but not anything that will make you rich. On the motherboard there are capacitors. These capacitors have a small amount of gold. An average computer motherboard will have a few cents per pond worth of gold.

yes there are precious metals to be found in computer hardware and peripherals. However, these metals are in such small quantities that it would be far too difficult to extract and quite plainly not worth the time or effort. You can find aluminum in most Hard drive casings to start, and gold in circuit boards and connectors, silicon as well.

Precious metals are not used in computers. But the metals like pentium and centrino used for manufacturing processors are costly. There are no other precious metals inside the computer, as the major components are printed circuit boards.

There are trace amounts of pecious metals in some computer componants, however, the time and effort it would take to extract is generally not worth the value.
