You can freeze kefir in your freezer which will save you a ton of money when it comes to ordering online. After you have made the kefir, you can fill the kefir halfway in airtight container and it will last for several months.

Kefir can last in the fridge for quite a while (possibly 6 months). If you freeze it some will undoubtedly die, but it should preserve most of it for future consumption.
