Depends on where you live. It's natural range is in Africa, but it has since been spread to Europe and America. It can usually be found in parks, gardens etc, though it is rather shy. It is often confused with, and indeed mixes with, Collared Doves.

There are many ringneck doves to be found in the wild. They occur there naturally and have been introduced by hourds of enthusiastic celebrants releasing doves into the wild for various reasons. If they are able to establish themselves after being released in places where they do not otherwise occur, they can upset that region's delicate eco-balance.

Normally ringneck Doves are domestic. They were released to wild, but they were unable to survive. They are not equipped to live in wild and have no fear of predators.
