By swordfish I hope you mean swordtail. Swordtail fry can eat flake food but it must be crushed finely. If they eat betta food, great. Otherwise, feed regular fish flakes.

No, it is not recommended. Use fry dry food or live food such as brine shimp or liquid fry food.
