Can you eat all of the hibiscus plant?

I know the flowers are in several recipes.

Well you can eat them but it depends on which part of the plant you are eating. It's okay to eat the leaf.

The flowers are edible and make a lovely syrup as well as juice but the leaves are inedible. However you can use the twigs of the hibiscus as a great toothbrush but I wouldn't try to eat it though.

you can eat the plant but when its in recipes they cook it so it will kill anything that is bad on it so i would cook it before you eat it

You are getting bad and conflicting information about how edible this plant is. Do more research before you expose yourself or your family to a serious toxin. Many plants can be both edible and toxic depending on the part you consume.
